The actor’s alter-ego breathed his last on Monday, but the specifics surrounding his untimely passing remain a mystery for the time being.
Though not Howard’s first appearance on a soap — he previously portrayed Marshall on Santa Barbara — his run as Tom, which began back in April, proved to be his longest-running. Howard’s other TV credits include The Andy Griffith Show, Gentle Ben, and Arrested Development.
