Deacon and Tom are getting closer by the day on The Bold and the Beautiful. Tom is Deacon and Sheila’s hero and they couldn’t be more grateful. Will Tom turn out to be more than an accidental friend, though?
A Bold and the Beautiful Daddy Twist?
Deacon (Sean Kanan) has split his time between Genoa City and Los Angeles over the past few decades and people in both towns know him well. What they don’t know well is his family. He seems to be one of the only characters out and about who doesn’t have a detailed back story full of parent drama, sinister siblings, and an evil aunt or two. Instead, he’s been more of a lone wolf floating through life very much on his own. It’s time that changed, and we’d love to see Tom be the one to change it.
Imagine how fun it would be if Deacon and Tom got to talking and realize they have a lot in common. Tom could open up about how he has a son’s Deacon’s age that he hasn’t seen since they were very, very little. Deacon could talk about how he never met his dad…or at least doesn’t remember ever seeing him. Being a fatherless child and a childless father would be a great way to bond.
Then, later on, Deacon’s birthday rolls on The Bold and the Beautiful around and he sets up the restaurant for the big event. It’s then Tom realizes Deacon and his boy share a birthday! Hmm…very curious. Very weird. Very…coincidental. Tom begins to wonder if the man who is so sweet and kind to him could be that boy he walked away from as a tot. Could it be? Did a twist of fate bring him and his son together?
All it would take is one of those fast-acting DNA tests like Li (Naomi Matsuda) keeps in her purse. A few cheek swabs later and Tom and Deacon get their answer. They’re father and son! Neat! But also, now what? Deacon already felt a pull to care for this down-on-his-luck fella and we’re sure a family connection will have Deacon pulling out all the stops. Tom won’t just have a job, he’ll have a home, a family, and a son who will never ever turn his back on him.
