We can’t shake the feeling this is all happening way too fast, especially for Hope. Months ago, she had everything she ever wanted with Thomas (Matthew Atkinson). He was a man who loved her and only her. He was dedicated, he put her on a pedestal, and he worshipped the ground she walked on (let’s ignore all that messy past, shall we). But, that wasn’t enough.

Hope wasn’t ready for hot and heavy. She wasn’t ready for marriage. She wasn’t ready for serious. She turned down his proposal and watched him take off with Douglas to Paris…and watched him come home engaged to Paris Buckingham. She wasn’t ready for love then, but she is now? Rather suspicious, dontcha think?

This is when we think she started plotting Steffy’s downfall. First, Hope went after Steffy’s man. When that didn’t work, we think she changed directions to go after Steffy’s company and she’s using Carter to do it.

A Bold and Shady Plan

Yes, we know this doesn’t seem like something Hope would do. She would never break a heart in a plot for revenge, right? Or, would she? Everyone who know Carter is well aware of how much he wants a wife and family. He’s the town’s most eligible bachelor and the man who is the unluckiest in love.

Sadly, his pinning to be a family man is what makes him vulnerable. It didn’t take much for Hope to flirt a few times and have him eating out of the palm of her hand. A few sizzling hot moments of passion later, and she has him doing her bidding. She took him from being the company’s biggest advocate to seriously thinking about taking it for himself. Yikes.

Is Hope taking advantage of Carter by love-bombing him into taking up for her? We can see it happening. And, now that he has a chance to steal Forrester Creations, it’s all falling into place better than she ever anticipated. If this is true, sweet Carter deserves so much better.
