Sean Kanan is no stranger to soap weddings. Over the years his various characters have taken their vows over and over again. This time, however, he’s sure his alter-ego has found a perfect match on The Bold and the Beautiful. Is he right? Will Sheila and Deacon go the distance?
Sean Kanan Dishes on SheCon’s Love Story
Kanan linked up with Soap Opera Digest to discuss the big day. First and foremost, he touched on the change of venue for the event. “It was originally supposed to be at the beach, but then they changed it to Il Giardino because that’s the place where they fell in love. So it has very sentimental meaning to them,” he told the publication.
As for his baddie bride, well, everyone’s opinion of Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) isn’t Deacon’s problem. “I don’t think he cares.” He did note two exceptions, though. Deacon does want approval from Hope (Annika Noelle) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). But, as Kanan points out, their dismay isn’t a deciding factor. “Deacon really believes that Sheila has turned a corner and has made some significant changes in her life.”
Will the future be bright for the dynamic duo? “think Deacon truly feels that he and Sheila have a shot at a healthy, normal life — one that prospers with the restaurant. That said, it’s going to necessitate that Sheila is able to keep a lid on her obsessive desire to have a relationship with Finn,” Kanan states. “Everything could come crashing down if she pulls any crazy Sheila stunts.”
