The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers for October 23, 2023, promise an emotional day for RJ as he debates telling Ridge the truth before the big fashion showdown takes place.
RJ Has a Decision To Make
When RJ (Joshua Hoffman) returned to Los Angeles from his time as a social media influencer traveling the world, he had absolutely no direction in life, but he found one with Eric (John McCook). His grandfather asked him to help design his final collection and RJ found he had a knack for it.
Too bad he also learned that Eric was sick. He thought it was arthritis at first, but later learned something much more serious was going on with Eric. He almost told his family what was going on more than once, but Eric begged him not to so he kept his promise. He did tell new Forrster intern Luna (Lisa Yamada) just to have someone to talk to.
Ridge Needs Answers
Meanwhile, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) knows something is wrong with his dad, but he is determined to win this fashion war no matter what. He wishes Eric never decided to come back to the Forrester Creations fold and had just enjoyed his retirement with Donna. He also knows he is going to win.
RJ can see this is all weighing heavily on Ridge’s mind and knowing that Eric’s health is declining rapidly makes him feel it’s now or never. Will RJ bring himself to tell Ridge the truth? Ridge would stop this war in an instant if he did and would urge Eric to take it easy and only care about his health.
However, RJ also knows that if he spills Eric’s secret to anyone, Eric might never forgive him. Eric also needs this fashion challenge on an emotional level and RJ doesn’t want to take it away from him. Donna (Jennifer Gareis) also knows that this is giving Eric something to live for at the moment.
As people start to arrive in LA for the fashion show hoping to see a friendly war between father and son, RJ has to decide if trust and creative satisfaction is more important than a man’s failing health. His granddad might be dying and the rest of the family has every right to know.
