The truth is coming to light about Everett on Days of our Lives. This week, Marlena realized what’s going on with the troubled dude, he has Dissociative Identity Disorder. Having a diagnosis is great but as Galen Gering teases, the drama is far from over!
Galen Gering Promises More Drama
Gering connected with Soap Opera Digest to dish on the dynamic storyline. He spoke highly of the scene where Marlena gets a handle on the situation. “It was like my favorite [scene],” he told the publication. “First of all, I loved what Blake [Berris, Everett] was doing. Secondly, I thought it was different. I’d never been a part of a story like that. It was entertaining as an actor to watch everyone going through it, and it was interesting.”
Everyone involved is set to be shocked by the reveal, but Rafe takes it personally. According to Galen, Rafe is furious. “How would one feel if he was in Rafe’s position and this relationship had happened, whether it was with Everett or Bobby or whatever? It’s still the same guy, and you still would despise him and the way he treated this person you loved. Then the fact that there were numerous times before this happened where Everett was being disrespectful and to a certain degree hostile towards Rafe. So Rafe is like, ‘Fricking get this guy out of here. Don’t treat my girl like that. Don’t treat me like that. Beat it.’”
Galen went on to talk about how this drama could change the dynamic for Rafe and his lady love. Jada (Elia Cantu) is as understanding as they come and even finds herself having empathy for her ex. Rafe, however, is quite the opposite. “He’s not nearly as understanding or empathetic as Jada is,” Galen explains. “He thinks it would be great if Everett could get help and get shipped out of their lives. That would be the perfect scenario.”
