While Arianne Zucker has made no secret that the episode aired on Monday, July 29, would be the last to feature her as Nicole Walker DiMera, there has been much speculation as to what fate would befall her costar, Greg Vaughan (Eric Brady, Days of our Lives), whose alter-ego seemed to exit alongside her own.

Greg Vaughan’s Cryptic Message

The actor seemed to provide an answer to fans when he took to his Instagram Stories with the message, “I didn’t leave by choice. I never had a choice.” This isn’t the first time Vaughan has exited the soap. He’s come and gone a few times before and it’s broken fans hearts every single exit. This time, however, it doesn’t seem to be his decision to leave the canvas.

Thankfully, not all hope is lost for seeing the star again. Soap Opera Digest has reported that “a reliable source” has informed them that Vaughan’s absence from the canvas won’t be a permanent one.

Whatever the case, you can rest assured that Daily Drama will provide an update if/when one is made available.
