Jensen Gering, son of Galen Gering (Rafe Hernandez, Days of our Lives), is following in his father’s footsteps.
Jensen Gering – Award Winning Younger Actor
The acting dynamo and budding lyricist recently took home a Young Artist Academy Award for Best Single for his song “Instant.” The song featured in the film Wickensburg which also starred Gering.
He took to Instagram with snaps from the celebratory night and a caption that read in part: “Ty to everyone who voted and congrats to the other nominees. Ty to producers [Anthony J.Resta] and @khop27 and most of all to Richard Boddington for giving me my first lead in a film and included my song…You can stream it on Amazon Prime.”
Per their official site, The Young Artist Academy recognizes exceptional international talent ages 5-18, each competing in separate Young and Teen categories for fairness. The academy also recognizes adult talent and alumni by bestowing special merit awards to those who have made a world impact on entertainment, and especially on a younger generation in entertainment.
