The world of General Hospital has been rocked by the sudden death of Billy Miller just days before his birthday. He would have been 44 years old in just two days and his fans are extremely heartbroken today. He is best known for the roles that he has played on The Young and the Restless and General Hospital. It was reported on Michael Fairman TV that on Friday he passed away. It was confirmed by someone who had been with him that night at The Belmont in Los Angeles, California. This is a restaurant and bar where he was the co-owner. Let’s find out more.
What Happened?
Even though there has yet to be any type of confirmation as to how the actor died, it does seem as if the people who knew him best said that he had been struggling with manic depression. This had led many to believe that he may have taken his own life. The actor was well-known in the soap opera world because he had been on soaps at a very early age. He began in All My Children as Richie Novack and was in that role from 2007-2008. He then went to The Young and the Restless and played Billy Abbott from 2008-2014.
He then went on to take over the role of Jason Morgan/ Drew Cain on General Hospital. He was part of the cast in Port Charles from 2014-2019. He took on a number of roles on daytime and prime-time television. He appeared on Suits, Ringer, Ray Donovan, Justified, CSI: NY, and was recently part of the cast of the AppleTV+ series, Truth Be Told. Not only did Billy appear on these shows, but he also had three Daytime Emmy awards for his work on The Young and the Restless. He was loved by all that he worked with and his family, fans, and fellow cast members were shocked to hear about his death.
