Last week, General Hospital‘s 60th anniversary was belatedly feted via the dedication of its longtime soundstage.

“General Hospital’s legacy is set in stone (literally) as our stage has officially been christened “The General Hospital Stage” in honor of our 60th Anniversary,” thrilled the official General Hospital Instagram page.
The soap’s cast — or, at least, a contingent of those on hand filming a future installment — including Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos), Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis), Kelly Monaco (Sam McCall), Evan Hofer (Dex Heller), turned out in droves for the celebration and enjoyed some fellowship and iced sweet treats.

Winder Gill no doubt spoke for many a devotee when they penned, “As a lifelong viewer and fan as many of us are, I would like to express my sincerest gratitude. This isn’t just a ‘show’ to us, we are fully invested in the narratives you create and put on screen.
