General Hospital Recap
Monday, August 5th
Ava (Maura West) gave her (skewed) version of events that led to Krstina’s (Kate Mansi) fall…. Trina (Tabyana Ali) admitted to authorities that she saw peering from the shattered window before closing the drapes…. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) visited Dex (Evan Hofer) for some TLC…. Natalia (Eva LaRue) tried to make inroads with a distracted Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez).
Friends and family learned that the surgeon was unable to save the baby Kristina was carrying…. Molly (Kristen Vaganos) blasted Sonny (Maurice Benard) who shuffled off to the hospital roof where he contemplated unaliving himself…. Kristina lost consciousness.
Tuesday, August 6th
Kristina was rushed back to the O.R….. TJ (Tajh Bellow) and Molly considered names for their deceased babe…. Jason (Steve Burton) and Carly (Laura Wright) were alerted to the drama unfolding at the hospital…. Laura (Genie Francis) and Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) celebrated the latter’s birthday.
A vision of Morgan (Bryan Craig) convinced Sonny not to jump. Sonny reached out to Kevin for help…. Despite her protests, Ava is placed under arrest for assault and manslaughter when photos seem to indicate that she purposefully shoved Kristina.
Wednesday, August 7th
Sonny was thunderstruck when Kevin informed him that there was no lithium in his system…. Donna swallowed a handful of Sonny’s “vitamins” prompting Carly to rush her to the hospital to have her stomach pumped. All concerned are flummoxed when reports indicate there’s no lithium whatsoever in the capsules.
Ava swore to Trina that Kristina’s fall was an accident. Trina and Portia (Brook Kerr) disagreed over Ava’s guilt…. Molly threw herself into her work while TJ mourned and joined his family in backing up the nursery…. Molly confronted Ava who hissed that it was Kristina, and not she, who was responsible for the baby’s death.
Thursday, August 8th
Jason confronted Ava on Sonny’s orders. She stuck to her story where Kristina’s fall is concerned but coped to knowing that Sonny’s medication was tampered with. When pressed, Ava — who sicced John (Adam J. Harrington) on the corrupt pharmacist — purred that she’s keeping mum as that’s her only bargaining chip.
Heather (Alley Mills) issued an apology to an unswayed Trina…. Scott (Kin Shriner) tried to interest Heather in suing the manufacturer of her bum hip replacement.
Friday, August 9th
Kristina hissed to Sonny that, “I won’t be okay until I know Ava Jerome is no longer breathing.” Alexis warned Sonny against disappearing Ava as it would devastate Kristina once she comes to her senses…. Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) board an elevator that stalls. Awkward tension permeates the air — awkward tension that Nina (Cynthia Watros) picks up when finally the doors open.
Heather decided to join forces with Scott and sue the manufacturer of her hip replacement…. Laura (Genie Francis) and Portia put their differences behind them…. Laura assured Heather that she’d still pay her visits.
