Wedding bells are set to ring for Brook Lynn and Chase this week on General Hospital. The festivities kick off on May 15th in a super sweet affair perfect for the hot couple. It’s been a long time coming and everyone is ready to celebrate.
Bridal Duties
Amanda Setton talked with Soap Opera Digest about the upcoming nuptials and what’s in store for her beloved character. She told the publication the ceremony “is quintessential, big, long, detailed, beautiful, elaborate soap opera wedding. It really feels like a throwback to the good old days.”
She assured Choklyn fans they’ll get their happy ending. “She’s getting her fairytale for now. I mean, we’ll see what happens — it is Port Charles after all. But I think it’s a really satisfying payoff for the fans of Chase and Brook Lynn. It’s been a very slow build for four and a half years and they are finally going to get a really loving, beautiful, elaborate, deep vows wedding moment, watching these two characters finally come together.”
As if that’s not special enough, expect a tear-worthy scene coming up between Brook Lynn and Tracy (Jane Elliot). “Tracy gives Brooklyn something that’s very sentimental that belonged to Lila,” she told the publication. “As Brook Lynn is getting married and starting her life, Tracy is giving her stamp of approval by giving something that had belonged to her mother to her granddaughter. It was just such a beautiful moment.”
The day won’t be without a touch of drama. Watch for Gregory (Gregory Harrison) to struggle with his health. For those scenes, she says BLQ will rely on her new husband. “She really looks to Chase. She’s taking her lead from Chase. Of course, she’s concerned about Gregory and his well-being and his health. But she is taking Chase’s lead.”
Watch for the wedding to begin on Wednesday and the party will continue through the rest of the week. Get your tissues ready for these emotional and heartfelt scenes.
