This week’s The Young and the Restless weekly recaps for the week of May 27th, featured Diane nearly leaving Jack, Sally getting a new gig, Alan acting rather odd, Victor firing Michael, and so much more!
The Young and the Restless Weekly Recaps
Monday, May 27th
Adam (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) worried about their son but were elated to be able to see him. They relayed all their concerns to Nick (Joshua Morrow) who was more than supportive. Chelsea only had one issue — work. She had a line to complete. As luck would have it, Sally (Courtney Hope) had just spoken to Adam about wanting to get back into designing again. He suggested the ladies work together!
Ashley (Eileen Davidson) was horrified to hear all that’s happened since her alters took over, especially since she skipped out on therapy. Unfortunately, her alters were on their game and now working together. They tried to warn Ashley out of taking off to Paris with Alan (Christopher Cousins). Ashley took their warnings as a sign she had to take flight.
Speaking of Paris, that’s where Audra (Zuleyka Silver) is and she’s taking meetings behind Tucker’s (Trevor St. John) back. He found out, though, and left her a voicemail to back off, or else! When he realized just how low Audra was about to go, he booked a flight to France, too!
Michael came up with a game plan to put Jordan (Colleen Zenk) behind real bars without Victor taking the heat. Victor (Eric Braeden) didn’t want to unleash his captive but he had no choice. Eventually, he stomped down to the basement with Cole (J. Eddie Peck) and Michael (Christian LeBlanc) to let Jordan out. Not let her free, though. Cole and Michael held her while Victor chloroformed her and called the cops to announce they’d captured the fugitive and were bringing her in.

Chelsea was all about getting her work life in order…by installing Sally in her place. Summer (Allison Lanier) didn’t love the idea but agreed to make it work. Later, Chelsea and Sharon (Sharon Case) had a talk and Sharon gave her one of her famous pep talks. As for Sally, she was over romancing Adam (Mark Grossman). He told her he loved her and wanted her to move in.
Over the Jazz Club, Diane (Susan Walters) and Jack (Peter Bergman) tried to talk about Ashley (Eileen Davidson) but were interrupted by Tucker (Trevor St. John). They were dismayed to learn he was going to Paris, too. He made it clear it was a work thing, but Jack was suspicious. Rather odd timing, dontcha think?
Later, Tucker took a video call from Audra who told him to back off. They argued about Audra’s role in the company and Tucker announced that giving up on him meant giving up her sweet position. Audra wasn’t having it.
Harrison was on cloud nine after spending the day with Claire (Hayley Erin). Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Claire were thrilled…until Summer was brought up. Claire wasn’t sure her cousin would ever be on board with her. She was quite surprised when Summer arrived and decided they should try to bury the hatchet…for their sake and Harrison’s.

The Young and the Restless kicked off the day with Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) showing up on Jack’s doorstep and he gladly invited her in. She thanked him for straightening her out and asked him to still be her sponsor. Jack was delighted! Diane was not, though. She overheard that part and absolutely lost it the second Nikki left. She outright told Jack that it’s her or Nikki!
Cole and Victor dropped by the Tack House. They told Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Claire, and Nikki the new story about Jordan serving the lake, being found, and taken into custody. Nikki nearly lost it. She was so sure Jordan was gone for good. She noticed some holes in her husband’s story but Victor kept his tracks well covered.
Sally said YES to Adam and ran to the club to pack her things. She was on cloud nine. Who did flip was Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson). She couldn’t believe Sally would make this kind of decision without talking to her. And, what’s worse, was Sally’s plan to move in with Adam (Mark Grossman). How dare?!
Billy (Jason Thompson) showed up at Crimson Lights and got to spend time with Chelsea. He then got a message from Jill (Jess Walton) and ran to the office to take the call. Sadly, this was not good news. Jill is sickly with heart issues. She wasn’t ready to tell everyone yet but wanted her son to know. For now, she’d be with Snapper while she tried to work through her health woes.

Audra was hard at work when Tucker banged down the door. She was well prepared and they had it out over her role at Glissade. He reminded her about the cease and desist and he expected her to follow it. Nope. She would not.
Ashley arrived to her own apartment accompanied by Traci and Alan. She had a brief battle with her alters and worried this would go on forever. Alan worried she wasn’t strong enough to keep fighting them off.
Alan went to head home and left the ladies to talk. Traci promised to stick by Ashley the whole time. At the same time, on the street, Tucker ran into Alan (or is it Alan) who gave him the coldest shoulder of all time. Later, Alan went back to Ashley’s to check on her and Traci. Things took a curious turn when Ashley recalled a night she and Alan had that didn’t happen. At least not with him.
Summer and Kyle took their leap of faith and left Harrison in Claire’s capable hands for the first time. Summer was a nervous mommy but Kyle helped her cope. They headed to Crimson Lights for a coffee and a talk.
Additionally, on The Young and the Restless, Diane laid into Jack over his continued friendship with Nikki. She put her foot down. If he chose to be her sponsor again then Diane was leaving him. Period! She nearly left him anyway but Jack promised to keep his distance from his best friend. Or, well, at least not be her sponsor again.
Friday, May 31st
It was a good day for Summer. She even smiled when Claire sent her and Kyle an update. All was well. Summer was in such a great mood that later she buried the hatchet with Sally and offered to let her take over for Chelsea. Sally was more than grateful.
Jack and Nikki met at Society to discuss the state of their friendship. Jack declined being her sponsor but did offer chats and to attend a few meetings together. That was enough for Nikki. At the same time, Victor ran into Diiane at the club and they had a serious talk about their spouses. Victor suggested Diane keep a tight leash on her husband.
Michael turned up at the club to see Victor. Their meeting lasted all of two minutes. Just long enough for Victor to fire his backstabbing legal eagle. Michael took the hit in stride and sat with Diane to gossip. She brought up Jack and Nikki and Michael didn’t beat around the bush, those two are friends to the end and no ultimatums would change that. Later, Nikki and Victor had much the same talk. He nearly forbade her from being around Jack but Nikki put her foot down.
Victor then turned up at the Abbott mansion and told Kyle that Jordan was alive, but don’t worry, she’s in jail. Kyle was more upset that Claire didn’t say a word. Lucky for Claire, Diane came home and became her son’s emotional punching bag.
