This week’s The Young and the Restless recap for the week of July 22nd, 2024 featured Summer playing hardball, Victor shocking his entire family, Devon proposing, and so, so much more!
The Young and the Restless Spoilers
Monday, July 22nd
Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant) and Daniel (Michael Graziadei) talk about bailing on Heather (Vail Bloom) about the trip. They need to do something special…just not tonight, Lucy’s going to a pool party. Except she doesn’t. Faith (Reylynn Caster) uninvited her from the much-to-mature event. Meanwhile, at Society, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) called Heather out. Things started to get ugly but Daniel showed up and stopped the bickering.
Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) cried to Adam (Mark Grossman) that she almost spilled. Adam wasn’t kind about it. This is a secret they need to take to their grave…you got that?! At the same time, Billy (Jason Thompson) and Sally (Courtney Hope) wondered what was going on between those two. Later, Billy confronted Adam and Sally confronted Chelsea.
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Jack (Peter Bergman) meet up for lunch and catch up and get into it over Diane firing Kyle. She played Devil’s advocate and Jack didn’t like that. They then had it out over Diane full-on. Jack, to his credit, took firm in supporting his wife.
Tuesday, July 23rd
Nick (Joshua Morrow) showed up to check on Sharon (Sharon Case). She was in a better mood but it was clear something was still off. She promised she was seeing her doctor and doing her best to cope. When Nick left, Sharon fantasized about him returning to kiss her.
Sally had a serious talk with Adam about his attitude lately. He admitted there was a reason he was down but instead of spilling the truth, he said he blew up on Chelsea and felt horribly about it. He was saved from explaining further by a text from his dad.
Victor (Eric Braeden) summoned the family to the office to share his real plans. Adam would be permanently in charge of Newman Media because he had even bigger plans for Nikki. He was buying Chancellor Industries just for her. Soon, they would be the protectors of Katherine’s legacy.
Wednesday, July 24th
On this episode of The Young and the Restless Victor’s news stunned his family silent. They didn’t want a war but Victor assured them there wouldn’t be one. He’d bought his shares back from Mamie (Veronica Redd) and is going to make Jill (Jess Walton) an offer she can’t refuse.
Devon (Bryton James) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) ran into Billy (Jason Thompson) and Lily (Christel Khalil) at Society…it did not go well. Lily eventually told Devon she was staying at Chancellor and admitted to Billy she was originally playing him and now she’s all in. As for Devon, he dealt with the betrayal by proposing to Abby!
Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) celebrated the anniversary of their first date. It was a few weeks late but worth the wait. They exchanged fun gifts, had a few laughs, and shared a whole lot of romance while having a picnic in the park.
Thursday, July 25th
Devon told Victor about the engagement and apologized for not asking permission. Victor was pleased. What great news! Devon would soon be family! Abby got the same good vibes from her mom. Ashley (Eileen Davidson) was ecstatic…and her treatment is going swimmingly.
Summer (Allison Lanier) served Kyle (Michael Mealor) papers showing she now has emergency custody of Harrison and refused to let Kyle take the kiddo to Paris. They had it out and Kyle called his lawyer only to learn there was nothing he could do right now. Claire (Hayley Erin) tried to plead with Summer but it did no good.
Over in Paris, Traci (Beth Maitland) was ready to fly states side but not before seeing Alan (Christopher Cousins). Her book was being made into a movie and she was thrilled to be called for the project. Alan was upset about her departure…until she invited him to go with her.
Friday, July 26th
The Young and the Restless ended the week with Kyle breaking the news to Harrison that he’d be staying behind…he sweetened the pot by taking him and Claire for ice cream – where they ran into Summer and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). Summer made a big show of all the plans she had for the boy while Kyle goes overseas.
Billy and Lily had their first spat as partners over his vision for the company logo. It ended as quickly as it began, thankfully. Devon soon showed up and told Lily he was getting married. She was happy for him and Abby.
Meanwhile, Victoria told Nikki she was having second thoughts of returning to Newman. Nikki talked it out with her and by the end, even had Victoria agreeing to keep Billy in the dark. It would do no good to put him on alert and worsen the war.
