This week’s The Young and the Restless recap for the week of May 6th featured Victor pushing all Jordan’s buttons, Summer having it out with Kyle, Diane putting Jack on blast, more drama for the Chancellor-Winters team, Ashley’s alters battling it out, and so much more!
Monday, May 6
Summer (Allison Lanier) met with her mom and Sharon (Sharon Case) at the GCAC to talk about Harrison getting treatment. They all agreed it was a good idea. Summer left to the table to take a call and Sharon and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) managed to play nice for once. Later, Sharon went back to Crimson Lights and had a chat about Harrison with Kyle (Michael Mealor). It wasn’t long before Summer showed up and outright demanded Kyle keep Claire away from their son. Meanwhile, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis touched base and vowed to stick close to their daughter.
Over at the Newman Ranch, Victor (Eric Braeden) updated Nick on all the goings-on. Then, he paid a visit to the dungeon to taunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) with a bottle of vodka. Drink up, witch! Additionally, over at the Abbott mansion, Jack (Peter Bergman) faced Diane’s (Susan Walter) wrath when he told her the horrifying truth of his relapse and overdose. To say Diane was furious is an understatement.
Tuesday, May 7
Nick thanked Jack for sacrificing his sobriety to push Nikki to rehab. Jack was sure his pill-popping was a one-time thing and would never happen again. He’s fine, Nikki’s safe, and everything is good now, right? Well, not so much. Diane was still sore about the whole ordeal.
Meanwhile, Victor dropped by to see his granddaughter and had a heart-to-heart with Cole (J. Eddie Peck). He gave his blessing for Cole being around more. Cole asked about his aunt and Victor assured him that woman is dead. All the while, Jordan had a meltdown in the dungeon when a spider fell on her. As it turns out, that’s her weakness and it drove her to drink.
Claire (Hayley Erin) met up with Victoria (Amelia Heinle) at Crimson Lights where they learned from Nick and Jack that Harrison needs a new nanny. She decided to throw her hat in the ring. Why not? The boy adores her, after all.
Meanwhile, Evil Ashley (Eileen Davidson) dined with Alan (Christopher Cousins) and was rather cold to Ashley’s friend. She even tried to send him away.
Additionally, Chelsea and Adam worry about Connor to Billy (Jason Thompson) and Sally (Courtney Hope), respectively. Later, Billy accompanied Chelsea to Adam’s house to discuss going to visit their son.
Wednesday, May 8
Nate (Sean Dominic) ran into Audra (Zuleyka Silver) at the Jazz Club and they had a flirty little session. It was all in good fun but she made it clear she was still Tucker’s (Trevor St. John) girl. As for Tucker, he ran into Devon (Bryton James) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) and got the cold shoulder. Things got even chillier when he mentioned Ashley and suggested Abby keep a closer eye on her mom.
Meanwhile, Ashley’s alters battled and her Southern Belle persona won. She ran off to meet (and flirt) with Alan. It was all going swimmingly when Tucker saw them at the GCAC and tried to insert himself as a third wheel. That’s how Audra found him and she dragged him off to their room. Later, Tucker promised Audra a trip to Europe. Downstairs, Ashley convinced Alan to stick around.
Additionally, the Winters portion of Chancellor-Winters got a visit with Mamie (Veronica Redd), which did not go well. She wanted to destroy Billy and Jill (Jess Walton) and got upset when no one would side with her and start a war. She called Nate, Abby, Lily, and Devon children before storming off.
Thursday, May 9
Summer dined with Phyllis and vented about Claire. She didn’t want her cousin anywhere near Harrison. Phyllis didn’t exactly agree but she wasn’t about to go against her daughter.
Meanwhile, Diane opened up to Kyle about Jack’s relapse and Kyle, shockingly, sided with Jack. He even called Diane jealous before heading to the park with Harrison. As for Jack, he had it out with Victor over at Society before heading home to get blasted by his wife.
Meanwhile, Victor went home to taunt his captive. Jordan begged for real jail. She couldn’t deal with the dungeon anymore.
Over at the park, Victoria took great pride in telling Claire about Katherine Chancellor before they bumped into Harrison and Kyle. Claire and Harrison went to feed the ducks and Victoria and Cole asked Kyle to take Claire on as a nanny. Kyle was all for it but he knew Summer would not. Shortly after, Summer and Phyllis arrived and spied Claire and Harrison playing, which got Summer heated.
Friday, May 10
Phyllis introduced herself to Claire as Harrison’s overprotective grandmother and soon after Victoria took her home…but not before reminding Kyle to think about the nanny plan. Phyllis took Harrison to play and Summer laid into her ex. No way that woman should be around their child! She accompanied them home to make sure Claire stayed away. Later, Phyllis ran into Diane and tried to get her on their side.
Speaking of Diane, she spent most of her day making digs at Jack and threatening to move out. He begged her to stay and promised he’d stay sober.
As for Victoria, she ran to her daddy to ask for his help smoothing things over with Summer. Victor refused. Claire’s place wasn’t to be a meager nanny. She belonged at Newman working as Victoria’s assistant. There was just one problem, Victoria had no plans to go back to the office.
Additionally, Victor paid his dungeon dweller another visit to taunt her. She threw her shoe at him, he refused to bend to her will and left her with a fresh bottle of vodka to help her through the cold night.
