The Young and the Restless Recap
Monday, June 24th
The Young and the Restless kicked off the week at the Ranch. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) tried, and failed, the plan a fun summer for the kids. Johnny (Paxton Mishkind) was all for it, but Katie (Sienna Mercuri) balked when Claire (Hayley Erin) was brought up. She didn’t even want her sister living in the house. Thankfully, a visit from Victor helped Katie see the light. Much like Claire, Victor grew up without love, too.
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) continued questioning her husband’s decision to oust her from Newman Media. Why? And, why Adam? Victor (Eric Braeden) wasn’t letting up. In fact, he doubled down. Speaking of corporate drama, Audra tried, and failed, to sweeten up Kyle (Michael Mealor). He absolutely refused to work with her. Later, he told Victor it was him or Audra. He couldn’t have both.
Over in Paris, Alan (Christopher Cousins) and Traci (Beth Maitland) hit the town together. Alan wanted to get answers about his brother. They went to the bar Martin took Ashley. Traci helped talk Alan through his feelings. Traci wondered if much of this stemmed from their mother abandoning them as children.
Tuesday, June 25th
Sharon (Sharon Case) and Faith (Reylynn Caster) had a discussion about mending broken hearts which got Sharon thinking about her romantic past. Especially her past with Nick (Joshua Morrow)…and his past with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). As for Nick, he was at Crimson Lights with the redheaded vixen. That’s where Sharon found them…holding hands…and it caused her to flash back to days long past.
At the same time, Daniel (Michael Graziadei) updated Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant) about losing out to Chancellor-Winters, but in a good way. Heather (Vail Bloom) updated that she’s still unemployed. They hoped for better days soon. As for the CW crew, Mamie (Veronica Redd) wanted all the tea. When that didn’t happen she turned the conversation to Tucker and took jabs at Devon for not backing his father.
After Mamie left, the games began. Lily (Christel Khalil) and Billy (Jason Thompson) announced they wanted to unmerge the companies. Devon acted shocked and pretended to take issue with Lily. They agreed to a vote in the next day or two and Billy left. Once he was gone, Lily tore into her brother.
Wednesday, July 3rd
Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam (Mark Grossman) finally got to see Connor (Judah Mackey) and it went swimmingly…until it didn’t. The teen was all smiles around his mom and dad but once the visit was done he spiralled and tried to cut himself. Upon hearing this, Adam and Chelsea were a mess.
Chance (Conner Floyd) summoned Billy to Society for an update. He wanted to know about Jill (Jess Walton) since he’s also in the know, and Billy gave him the story. He also told him about what was going down at the office and got Chance’s support. Back at Chancellor, Nate, Devon, and Lily continued arguing about the whole scheme. Later, Devon and Nate hit up Society to blow off steam and gripe about Billy.
As for Billy, he went to the park to take a call from Jill. She wondered if his plan was sound and if Lily was really on board. At the same time, Chance ran to Lily to suck up and tell her how much he was looking forward to working under her at Abbott-Chancellor. Later, Jill called Lily to talk over the next steps.
Thursday, July 4th
On this episode of The Young and the Restless, Kyle showed up to work only to be immediately fired. He fought with Diane (Susan Walters) and Jack (Peter Bergman) about it but in the end, he took the pink slip and left…and ran right to Victor. He took him up on his offer to be Audra’s co-CEO. As for Audra, she wasn’t too keen, especially after bragging to Sally about how her plans were going swimmingly. But, what choice did she have?
Adam and Chelsea tried to hold strong knowing their son was suffering. Chelsea decided she needed to stay there to be present for Connor should he want to see her again soon. Adam decided to stay, too. They’re in this together. Back in Genoa City, Billy and Sally bonded over their partners being away and dealing with Connor’s problems. They both wanted the best for everyone.
Friday, July 5th
Mariah (Camryn Grimes) went to see Sharon (Sharon Case) and found her quite out of sorts. She was distracted and staring off into space…which she did for the duration of their time together. Thankfully, Sharon realized she was off and called her doctor about these new meds. Something wasn’t right.
At the same time, Faith met with Lucy for coffee and talked about college life…and all the reasons Faith didn’t drink now, ever. Lucy couldn’t wait to be old enough to make bad decisions.
Diane and Jack talked about Kyle. Did she have regrets? Yes, but what choice did she have? She had a lot fewer regrets when Kyle came to brood and brag about how he didn’t need his parents anymore. He had just finished making nice with Audra and agreeing to be a team so he was feeling pretty high on his horse.
Ending the week, Sally and Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) had a meeting with Summer (Allison Lanier). The trio spotted Kyle and Audra together but decided to ignore the scene and talk about work. Chloe was pleased to be part of the team. Later, Summer took a few jabs at Audra.
