The Young and the Restless spoilers for for December 22, 2023, promise an eventful Christmas for some of your faves in Daniel’s newly-decorated apartment.
What Joy Does Phyllis bring?
Now that Daniel (Michael Graziadei) finally has furniture in his new apartment, Lily (Christel Khalil) is not there to enjoy it because she is in California with her daughter. That doesn’t mean he isn’t going to let all that money he paid Sally (Courtney Hope) go to waste. Even with Lily not there, he hosts a holiday celebration that is bound to get weird.
As expected, Heather (Vail Bloom) and Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant) are there, with Heather happy to make herself at home as she sets her sights on Daniel once again. How convenient that Lily is out of town. Lucy is thrilled to have both of her parents together, but things are about to get super weird with her grandparents.
Heather’s stepmom Christine (Lauralee Bell) is there (as Paul and Chris are still technically married) as Danny’s (Michael Damian) date. But, Daniel also invited his mother, who is more than happy to put some proverbial coal in Christine’s stocking.
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) wants Danny too but this time Christine is staking her claim on her man, making things much different than they were in the 1990s when Phyllis first came on the Genoa City scene as a groupie Danny thought he impregnated.
A Gift For Lauren
Elsewhere, Michael (Christian J. Le Blanc) is determined to give Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) the best Christmas ever. He left her alone for months over the last year as he did Victor’s (Eric Braeden) dirty work and then defended his mother Gloria (Judith Chapman). It’s time they were together for a good holiday, but Michael thinks outside the box to give Lauren a surprise.
Does that mean he brings their son Fen (Zach Tinker) home for Christmas? That would be the best surprise ever, as would Lauren’s son Scott returning to town, as Lauren has been so lonely of late. Then again, the surprise might not be a person and can be something that is completely material.
