The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, August 15th, 2024, tease Connor’s ready to get back to his real life…but are his parents?

Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam (Mark Grossman) couldn’t wait to bring Connor (Judah Mackey) home. But, now that he’s back, they can’t help but worry every second of every day. He’s doing well, however, they know the second shoe could drop at any given moment and it’s keeping them on high alert.

The pair are sticking close to the teen. Maybe even a little too close. Is the hovering becoming smothering? You bet! Connor needs a bit of space and time to heal and he’s not getting much alone time these days. Will their overprotectiveness backfire in the end?

Speaking of slipping, Sharon (Sharon Case) is having trouble keeping herself afloat. She’s off her meds, her head is a mess, and she’s barely holding on. And, what’s worse, she’s not in any shape to fix what’s broken inside her. Instead, she’s putting on a brave front and just hoping no one notices just how dark her life is truly becoming.

Meanwhile, Victor (Eric Braeden) puts Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) on blast. He’s not happy with her recent choices and he’s not hiding his thoughts on the matter. Her judgement is off and he has no problem pointing it out. Will Nikki listen to his concerns or shut him down flat?

Are Adam and Chelsea doing too much? Will their efforts to keep Connor safe and sound backfire?
