The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, August 9th, 2024, tease Diane and Phyllis are back to their old ways. The ladies takes digs at each other and things are going to get ugly!

If there’s one thing you can say about Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is you can always find her sticking her nose where it doesn’t belong. And, she can sling mud with the best of them. Today, she gets to test those insult skills on Diane…which is one of her favorite past times lately. She goes for the jugular and says some things she knows will set Diane’s temper on fire.

She should really know better. Diane is a powerhouse, too, and she knows exactly what to say to get Phyllis heated. She’ll issue low blow after low blow and show Phyllis she’s messing with the wrong woman! Will they go further than words?

Opposite this, The Young and the Restless has Victor (Eric Braeden) making a rather curious call to help his granddaughter. Summer (Allison Lanier) is in a war with Kyle (Michael Mealor) and while Victor may adore his newest employee, the family will always come first (you got that?!).

Will this call be to a judge? Is Victor phoning in a favor to make sure Summer walks away with full custody of Harrison (Redding Munsell)? If so, that might be something he’ll regret later. This wouldn’t be the first time Victor has asked a friend to do something dirty (and it won’t be the last) but, the truth always come out…and when it does, there will be hell to pay!
