The Young and the Restless spoilers for for December 28, 2023, promise a romantic and angst-filled New Year’s Eve in Genoa City.
A Long-Time Pair Wed Again
Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) and Michael (Christian Le Blanc) had the exact same idea for Christmas, which showed just how compatible they really are. Each proposed to the other with a ring wanting to renew their vows, so that’s exactly what they do one week later at Society.
It’s a small second wedding with Michael’s family on hand, including Kevin (Greg Rikaart), Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson), and Gloria (Judith Chapman). Too bad their son Fen couldn’t be there for the occasion and Lauren doesn’t seem to have anyone from her family there, but she is happy nonetheless.
Will they actually get a storyline in the new year? This pair has had no soapy angst for years, so it’s about time some drama is added to their lives, but where will this drama come from?
Tucker’s New Years Surprise
Ashley (Eileen Davidson) continues to struggle with her feelings for Tucker after sanctioning Jack’s (Peter Bergman) plans to expose Tucker’s (Trevor St. John) statutory rape cover-up and bring him down. Yes, she knows she and Tucker are absolutely toxic together, but it doesn’t mean her feelings aren’t still there.
As for Tucker, he once again spends most of his time at the GCAC bar where he encounters Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). She’s just been rejected by Danny (Michael Damian) once again and is in her feelings. She even planted a kiss on her ex to no avail.
Somehow, Tucker and Phyllis end up in a lip lock, but who initiates it? Is Phyllis just looking for anyone who will respond to her affections or is Tucker just looking for anyone to kiss at midnight if Audra (Zuleyka Silver) isn’t available for a romp in the sack? Talk about two lonely souls hooking up when nobody else seems to want them.
At least Phyllis’s attempt to snare Danny and get him away from Christine (Lauralee Bell) looks like it backfired, as the former spouses find themselves kidding to make 2024 a very good year indeed.
