The Young and the Restless spoilers for for January 5, 2024, promise a very special day for Sharon and her legions of fans. Get ready for a poignant and memory-filled hour.
Sharon’s At A Crossroads
It took Summer (Allison Lanier) questioning Sharon (Sharon Case) about her feelings for Chance (Conner Floyd) for Sharon to realize she doesn’t love the man, but is enjoying what he can offer her in the moment — namely sex. However, she is also starting to see that Chance may feel more for her than she feels for him.
Perhaps Sharon also feels antsy about the state of things in her life in general. She is about to launch a new company she never expected to own, but is that really the right move for her considering all the incarnations this company has already taken? She hired Esther to take care of Crimson Lights, but still spends most of her time there anyway.
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) asked Sharon to be Claire’s (Hayley Erin) therapist, which would help her put her psychology degree to good use again. She got that degree for a reason and wants to help people who are struggling just like she’s struggled.
What Will Sharon Decide?
As Sharon looks back at her life in an episode dedicated entirely to her, we’ll be treated to flashbacks of Sharon’s decades in Genoa City. We’ll see her with her children and the men she has loved and lost. Some of Sharon’s men include Nick (Joshua Morrow), Adam (Mark Grossman), Rey (Jordi Vilasuso), and even Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
Will all this reflection as the year begins cause Sharon to decide she wants to take a new direction with her life? Could this new direction draw from her past? Perhaps Sharon will choose to say farewell to the corporate world and open a full-time therapy practice.
Maybe she will even decide that Summer can have Chance if she wants him since things are not going as Sharon had planned. While Shick fans would love to see her conclude that she belongs with a lonely Nick, we won’t get our hopes up. Maybe, one day…
