The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, April 17, 2024, tease Traci giving her sister some seriously tough love. Is this exactly what Ashley needs?
Previously On Y&R: Summer burst into the Abbott mansion and searched for Harrison. Of course, Harrison was not to be found. Neither was Claire. The family called in the cops who discovered Abbott’s floral delivery had gone sideways. The flowers showed up, but the driver did not. Summer went to the Ranch and lost it on her family. How could they blindly trust Claire?! Victoria refused to believe it. Nikki blamed Jordan. Victor got his security on the case. After Summer left, Nikki started to doubt Claire, too. Summer got back to the Abbott house just in time for Kyle to get a text from Claire. Help her aunt or else! Jack broke the news to Victor and it was quickly assumed Claire was also hostage. Meanwhile, Jordan told Harrison his parents didn’t want him anymore and she would take care of him from now on. Now, let’s talk about what’s coming up next.
Stressed To The Max
You know things are bad when Traci (Beth Maitland) gets tough…which is exactly what’s about to happen. Harrison is missing, the family is in shambles, and everything is falling apart. Adding to that is Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and all the troubles going on with her.
Traci gets stern with Ashley about dealing with her illness. Ashley needs help and the Abbotts need one less thing going wrong. It’s time for Ash to take the next right steps to reclaim her mental health and start putting the pieces back together.
A Worried Mother
All the while, Summer (Allison Lanier) is completely distraught. She has adored Harrison since the moment he came into her life and cherishes being his mother. Now, she’s unsure if she’ll ever see her little boy again.
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) stick close by her side and soothe her the best they can. They don’t need to imagine how she feels because they’ve been down roads like this before. It’s never easy to have someone they adore out there in the world in the arms of someone nefarious.
Secrets Keep Us Sick
Across town, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) opens up to Lauren (Tracey Bregman). She has a secret she needs to get off her chest and Lauren is an excellent listener. Will Nikki admit to hitting the bottle again? She’s spent days upon days suffering and while she’s told Jack, she needs to tell Lauren, too. The more support she can get, the better.
