September 18 kicks off a new week for The Young and the Restless and the Newmans are front and center. The family is once again at each other’s throats because of their business empire. Victor’s latest changes to the company aren’t sitting well with his children.
Victor Reclaims His Seat at Newman Enterprises
The Newman patriarch should be enjoying his golden years with his darling wife Nikki. But the ongoing drama with his company and his children has The Moustache coming out of retirement.
Although Victor appointed Victoria as his successor and is proud of her work, he feels it’s time for a change. In a shocking turn of events, Victor decides to return as CEO of Newman Enterprises. The move upsets Victoria, who vows Victor will regret this.
Despite the skepticism toward his decision, Victor is confident he’s making the right choice. With Victoria’s office cleared out, Victor wastes no time moving in. The Moustache shows he’s here to stay when he puts up his iconic portrait. With Victor back at the helm, Genoa City better watch out.
Nikki Does Damage Control
For decades, Nikki has been a loyal wife to Victor, supporting his every move. Victor’s latest shakeups have affected everyone in the family, including Nikki. The Newman matriarch was stunned when Victor named her the new CEO of Newman Media. Nikki accepted her new position, promising to do her husband proud. While Nikki is having no trouble with her new job duties, she has her work cut out with the recent family drama.
Victor’s decision to reclaim his CEO position at Newman Enterprises has Victoria fuming. Tensions are mounting between father and daughter, leaving Nikki caught in the middle. She loves them both and is trying to remain neutral in their battle. Nikki understands Victoria’s upset because she’s worked hard to prove she deserves the CEO position and Victor swoops in to take it away.
But Nikki can also see Victor’s perspective. Newman Enterprises is his baby, he built the company from the ground up and made it a billion-dollar success. He spent all those years in charge and it was hard when he finally had to step down. The latest turmoil with Adam and SNA Media has Victor questioning his business skills. He wants to prove he still has his business savvy by reclaiming his CEO spot.
Nikki begins her first effort to smooth the strain in Victoria and Victor’s relationship. She has a talk with her daughter to persuade Victoria to see Victor’s side. However, the conversation will be futile and have Nikki questioning her husband’s decision.
Adam Receives a Tempting Offer

Sally joins Adam for a drink and the two savor a peaceful conversation without worrying about Nick busting up their interaction. Sally ups the ante by asking Adam to dinner, an offer he can’t refuse.
The two have a friendly dinner and the conversation consists of plans for their future. Adam wishes Sally luck in her design business and says he has faith in her. When Sally inquires about Adam’s plans, he reiterates he’s turning over a new leaf. Sally is dubious, but Adam claims Victor firing him was the wake up call he needs. She wishes him well and hopes he doesn’t slip back into old Adam.
As the night draws to a close, things take an exciting turn when Adam escorts Sally to her room. The two share a close moment, which is sure to spark old feelings.
