In defense of The Bold and the Beautiful‘s Finn and his nearly indefensible actions, he didn’t set out to attend Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) and Deacon’s (Sean Kanan) wedding. He did intend to keep his promise to Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) to keep his distance. As his portrayer, Tanner Novlan, explains to Soaps.sheknows, “Steffy and his family will always be Finn’s No. 1 priority, but he is working to sort out these feelings of supporting Sheila and her reform.”
Tanner Novlan Muses On Finn’s Problems
What’s more, “[Finn] knows Steffy is sensitive to anything [related to] Sheila, so he is communicating these feelings as delicately as possible.
“He doesn’t want to risk damaging his marriage, but he wants to keep them safe from Sheila and support her. He knows how she reacts when she is completely shut out. It’s been a dangerous cycle he wants to break.” Lofty goals!
Annika Noelle’s Hope Logan has served as a port in the storm Finn, which has been most appreciated. Says Novlan: “They definitely have become closer through this. It has been nice for Finn to talk through his issues with someone who’s been there before.”
But talk seems to be as far as things will proceed between the pair — much to the chagrin of many a fan. “I don’t think [Finn] sees anything more serious than [friendship]. As for Hope, I can’t say.”
