Alright, let’s settle in for a look at the latest happenings in the world of Forrester Creations and beyond. It seems the romantic entanglements are tighter than ever, and loyal viewers will surely have opinions on all the scheming and longing!
Brooke, Ridge, and the Never-Ending Saga:
The episode opens with Brooke seemingly glued to Eric’s side in the design office. Eric, ever the voice of reason (and hope!), continues to remind Brooke that she and Ridge are meant to be together. Of course, the specter of Taylor looms large. Brooke, bless her heart, is convinced Taylor is already planning her walk down the aisle. Just then, Katie breezes in to join the chorus of “Brooke and Ridge forever!” sentiment.
Eric, in his grandfatherly wisdom, voices his hope that Brooke can get through to Ridge before he makes a decision he’ll regret. After Eric departs, the Logan sisters rehash familiar ground: Brooke and Ridge are destined for each other, again. Then, as always, the conversation shifts to Thomas. Katie expresses her worry over his return, declaring he needs to stay out of his parents’ romantic lives. They both hope Thomas has changed, but those memories of the Baby Beth saga and his manipulation of Douglas… well, they’re not easily forgotten. They rightly worry how he will react when Ridge inevitably calls off the wedding.
Taylor and Ridge: Heading for the Altar (or Disaster)?
Across the hall, Ridge informs Taylor that Thomas’ engagement is over. Taylor, ever the optimist (some might say!), muses that this makes their wedding even more important to Thomas. She gushes about having him home for the planning, a comment that visibly makes Ridge uncomfortable. Taylor then excitedly suggests setting a wedding date, throwing in a little “spontaneity” to “give Thomas a reason to smile.” Eric arrives just in time to hear the wedding date talk and Taylor happily announces they’ll be setting one soon, hoping for Eric’s blessing.
Eric’s Plea and Ridge’s Internal Conflict:
After Taylor leaves, Eric delivers a much-needed reality check to Ridge. In no uncertain terms, he demands Ridge “do something” and “end this thing tonight!” Ridge, predictably, tries to deflect by bringing up Thomas’s return and his rather intense enthusiasm for his mother marrying Ridge. Eric is unimpressed, exclaiming “For God’s sake!” that Thomas is an adult and shouldn’t be meddling. He cuts to the chase, reminding Ridge that he can’t have both women. Ridge, echoing the sentiment of many viewers, is clearly exhausted by the entire situation. Eric doubles down, warning Ridge not to lose Brooke. Then, because no Forrester family drama is complete without a nostalgic flashback, we’re treated to a glimpse of Ridge’s heroic rescue of Brooke in Italy. Eric fears what will become of Ridge if he doesn’t choose Brooke.
Thomas’s Scheme and Taylor’s Bliss:
In the Forrester guesthouse, Thomas is shown stewing over photos of Brooke and Ridge, convinced his father won’t let him and Taylor down. Taylor then arrives. The discussion immediately turns to the wedding and Thomas is thrilled when Taylor tells him that they will be setting a date when Ridge gets home.
Taylor brings up Paris, a subject Thomas brushes off. Right now, he insists, he wants to focus on making his mother’s dreams come true. He proudly admits he warned his dad to step up and be a man.
Over in Taylor’s guesthouse, we see her remembering Ridge’s proposal. Ridge enters and immediately, Taylor brings up setting a date, even declaring, “Very soon, you will be my husband again.”
The Wedding Date Looms… and Ridge’s Doubt Grows:
Back in her own guesthouse, Taylor remembers proposing to Ridge. Ridge walks in, and Taylor eagerly mentions setting a wedding date.
Ridge is haunted by his father’s warning about making the right choice.
Coming Up This Week:
The drama continues as… Eric has a conversation with Thomas.
And that, dear readers, is where we leave our beloved characters for today. Will Ridge follow his heart? Will Thomas’s manipulations succeed? And will Brooke ever get the commitment she so desperately craves? Tune in tomorrow!
