Hope’s Reflection:
Finn “reiterated that Hope could do better than Thomas, even if he was reformed like his family believed,” according to The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) Recap for Friday, October 6. Hope thought about Steffy’s relationship with Liam and how strong it had always been, but she could not picture Steffy ever taking Finn’s devotion and love for granted. Finn said that everything would be fine after Hope thanked him for the conversation and described her as a strong, kind, and beautiful person.
Sheila and Deacon’s Engagement:
However, Finn insisted Thomas was not the right person because he was sure there was a man out there who would truly love Hope. With a bottle of champagne at home, Deacon and Sheila marked their engagement. Although she assured Deacon that was not the reason she accepted his proposal, Sheila hoped that perhaps this engagement would help Finn realize that she was not unlovable. Sheila continued, “I do not want Finn to think of me as the monster Steffy and the Forresters had made me out to be,” after expressing her desire for a second chance.
Deacon’s Meeting with Finn:
Deacon pledged to do everything in his power to fulfill that promise as Sheila’s new fiancé, and in the end, he called Finn to Il Giardino. Finn was very interested when he arrived and found out that this was about Steffy. Deacon began speaking about his own journey from prisoner to prosperous businessman because he believed he could help Sheila in her predicament. That people could change was evidenced by it. Sheila then showed up and sat down next to Deacon, taking his hand as she did so. Finn was confused as to how this related to Steffy. Sheila claimed to have finally found love when Finn discovered that Deacon and Sheila were a couple.
Sheila hoped Finn would be pleased for her because she was so happy. She flashed back to Finn comforting Hope and giving her advice about Thomas, which left her looking thoughtful and perplexed as she returned to her current location with Hope. Ridge Carter and Eric had a competition-related joke with each other after Eric and Donna visited Forrester Creations.
However, Donna gave a meeting as a justification and took Eric home when he started to appear weak and had to hide his tremors. As Donna and he hugged each other at the Forrester mansion, Eric had another coughing fit and saw blood on his hand. However, he kept that information from Donna.
When he was back with Ridge, he informed Carter that it appeared that his concerns about Eric had been unfounded because he appeared to be doing well. In Ridge’s opinion, Eric was performing at his best.
RJ and Luna’s Conversation:
On Friday’s B&B episode, RJ revealed to Luna in the design office that he had spoken to Donna, who had acknowledged that Eric was worse than they had initially believed. Due to the online research he had done, RJ suggested it might be TIAs or cerebrovascular disease, and this worried him. While acknowledging how difficult it must be for RJ to carry the weight of this secret, Luna believed that remaining optimistic could work wonders.
RJ asked jokingly if she was in the CIA because that was something Luna understood. Given that working at Forrester Creations had always been a dream job for Luna, she felt fortunate to have been offered this internship. As soon as Luna said how much she appreciated the opportunity to work with and get to know RJ better, RJ was called away. RJ told Luna that he was happy to have her at Forrester Creations as well as he was on his way out. When Luna had some time to herself, her mother Poppy called. However, she declined to speak because she was too busy.
Luna’s Secrets:
Luna had to return home immediately, Poppy insisted, and she emphasized that she could not be in Los Angeles. Poppy continued, “I know what Luna is doing, and my daughter can not be at Forrester Creations,” after stating what she knew about Luna’s actions. Poppy retorted that it was clearly stated on the website when Luna claimed she wasn’t. Poppy encouraged Luna to think about what Aunt and Finn would think after making a suggestion that her sister might have a negative reaction.
Luna argued that she was following her dreams, but Poppy countered that it was only a matter of time before she was discovered, at which point everything would fall apart. RJ got back on the phone after a tearful Luna ended it and continued to press for information about what was wrong.
