There are some big names heading your way this week…and some departing the scene. Get the scoop on all the latest soap comings and goings for the week of December 16th.
Comings and Goings
The Bold and the Beautiful
Look for Ashleigh Brewer’s Ivy to share the screen with Heather Tom’s Katie on Wednesday, December 18.
Days of our Lives
The Greene family will be out in full force next Wednesday (December 18). Kennedy Garcia’s Felicity gets the lowdown on Cat’s (AnnaLynne McCord) survival, plastic surgery, dealings with villainous Clyde, and her daring dos with Chad (Billy Flynn) and co. Brother Mark, played by Jonah Robinson, will be in scenes opposite Dan Feuerriegel’s EJ DiMera that same day.
Speaking of Clyde, he caught a bullet courtesy of Mama Greene on Wednesday (December 12) and slipped into a coma. His portrayer mused to Deadline, “It’s been a fabulous run so far; only the soap gods know if it is meant to continue!”
Madelyn Kientz’s Sophia has life altering news to impart to Tate (Leo Howard) on Friday, December 20.
Karloe Foreman is the judge who’ll decide whether Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) has a claim to Titan and Victor’s assets.
General Hospital
Officer Dex Heller breathed his last on Friday, December 14, capping Evan Hofer’s tenure. He first appeared on May 5, 2022.
An exchange between Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Kristina (Kate Mansi) provided an update on Joyce Guy’s Phyllis. The erstwhile manager of Charlie’s Pub made the return trek to Nixon Falls.
Dex’s partner on foot patrol, Officer Jackson, was played by Gina Vitori.
The Young and the Restless
Per Deadline, The Young and the Restless has tapped Nathan Owens (ex-Cameron Davis, Days of our Lives) for a mystery role — presumably that of Nathan Hastings (Sean Dominic) heretofore unknown half-brother, Damian. He’ll make his debut on Wednesday, January 8.
The CBS sudser is set to stage a Half & Half reunion (of sorts), with the return of Telma Hopkins as Denise Tolliver. Her no-nonsense private investigator character will share the screen with Valarie Pettoford (Amy Lewis), AKA “Big Dee Dee,” the perennial thorn in the side of the erstwhile Phyllis Thorne. Soaps.sheknows was the first to report.
Christopher Cousins’ Alan Laurent is the psychiatrist that Sharon (Sharon Case) will turn to in her desperate bid to uncover the repressed memories from the night of Heather’s untimely demise. He’ll hypnotize the desperate femme on Thursday, December 19th.
That same episode will see Vail Bloom put in another appearance as her late alter-ego.
