Chad (Billy Flynn), Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes), and Jack (Matthew Ashford) will be stumbling upon Abigail, or “Abigail” as the case may be, so Days of our Lives fans be prepared — this might not be the reunion you’ve been waiting for. But what AnnaLynne McCord can promise you are ” twists and turns.” Lots of them!

AnnaLynne McCord Teases Upcoming Appearance

“You very quickly see that my character is under extreme duress and it’s Chad and another character that come to the rescue,” details the actress to Soaps.sheknows. “There’s a whole rescue operation being planned around my character because you very quickly are shown that trouble is afoot. And so the first little bit is kind of this, ‘Who are you? What’s going on?’”

McCord grants that “obviously my character doesn’t look anything like Chad’s wife,” which does pose quite a problem. “She’s had amnesia. She’s gone through a serious accident. She’s had plastic surgery. She has had a whole myriad of things occur and she is navigating a really sticky situation when you first meet her.”

Equally disconcerting? The following disclosure: “What we believe is that she’s Abigail Devereux, back from the dead, [but] you see that she is playing along with what Clyde Weston is making her do. The first few days are really just kind of figuring out who’s gonna trust who, is trust gonna be a part of this conversation. And immediately I think, you see a little bit of a spark of desire to not be so obstinate on my character’s behalf towards Chad.”

In the end, McCord is hoping to make an impression — and a positive one at that — on DAYS viewers. “I hope that the fans of Days, if you don’t love me, at least don’t hate me. I’m very excited to be a part of this. I know what it’s like to love a character and to have it done in a new way, and I hope that I make you guys happy at least in some capacity.”
