Arianne Zucker (ex-Nicole Walker DiMera) was the latest guest on Rachel Uchitel’s Miss Understood podcast, and she took the opportunity to speak her mind on several topics including the graphic comments made by Donald Trump as he prepared to make her acquaintance and capping her decades-long tenure at Days of our Lives.
Arianne Zucker Gets Real
On the former, Zucker is as surprised now as she was then, which is to say, not surprised in the least. “I don’t really like talking talking politics but you know as far as the way he speaks, could he do a better job of it? Absolutely.”
When discussing the latter, Zucker assured that her alter-ego wasn’t meeting a grisly and permanent (or “permanent” as the case almost always is when it comes to DAYS) and added: “I think they were smart enough not to kill me.”
But that’s not to say the actress was particularly thrilled with the way things wrapped. Her biggest regret? The expediency with which the exit was penned. Zucker relayed: “In that regard, I think they did a lot of disservice to the two characters that people have wanted together for a long time. And I think it did a disservice to the one that she was with at the time also.
“But that’s the investment, that’s the choice of the writer, and if the writer chooses — the head writer — if he chooses not to write that, you’re just not going to get that storyline. To a degree, it was fine. It was fine. So, the fans can look forward to that.”
