Poor Alex got slammed with some serious truth bombs on his wedding day on Days of our Lives. The twists kept coming as he realized his bride was nothing but a sham. So, what’s next for this heartbroken fella? We got the scoop straight from Robert Scott Wilson himself!
Robert Scott Wilson Dishes on Alex
Last week was huge for Alex when he learned he’s not really the heir to the Kiriakis fortune…and his wife is nothing but a lying liar who set the whole thing up. The one shining moment? Justin (Wally Kurth) got his son back. “That’s probably the only positive that’s coming out of this whole thing.” Robert Scott Wilson agreed. “He treated Justin really badly, though. He has to make up for that.”
Speaking of all that Kiriakis money…Xander (Paul Telfer) isn’t going to love how much Alex spent. That’s a whole other mess for Alex to clean up. “He spent a good amount of that fortune,” the actor joked. “He bought himself that Viper, that’s expensive. He’ll probably have to start with giving the car back.” It’s going to take quite a while for Alex to clear that debt.
As for Alex’s heart, well that’s going to take a whole lot of time to heal, too. And, for now, Alex is going to concentrate on doing just that. “He’s going to take a break from romance,” Robert joked. “He’s very hurt and very broken. He messed up with the love of his life, that being Stephanie, and now, he was betrayed at the altar by Theresa. He needs time.”
What about Alex’s professional future? Will he stay on at Titan and work side by side with Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) or will Xander fill that role? We asked the actor what he wanted for his alter-ego. “Maybe he could become a lawyer, like his dad. Wouldn’t that be nice? Kiriakis and Kiriakis father and son at law?” We have to agree that Alex has the smarts, the business savvy, and the brilliance to pull it off!
We couldn’t talk to Robert Scott Wilson without asking if we’d see him returning as Ben in the coming months since Victoria Konefal is returning as Ciara. “No, Ben won’t be back. He’ll be playing daddy while Ciara visits,” says the actor. “I would have liked to have him come back, though. It would have been fun to have him and Alex meet seeing as how they’re polar opposites.”
