Tributes continue to pour in for fallen daytime superstar Wayne Northrop, Days of our Lives’ first Roman Brady, and Dynasty‘s original pot stirrer. Two of the latest come courtesy of his beloved wife of forty-three years, Lynn Herring (Lucy Coe, General Hospital et al.), and his former leading lady, Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans, DAYS)
Wayne Northrop Remembered
Herring posted on X: “Wayne has always been the Man of my Dreams and now he will always be the Man in my Dreams. No one navigates a loss alone & all of your love & kindness helps Hank, Grady & I take this journey Thank you especially our [General Hospital] and [Days of our Lives] family.”

Meanwhile, Hall relayed to Us Magazine: “[Wayne] never met a practical joke that he didn’t want to pull on somebody. He was forever, forever playing practical jokes.”
Northrop passed away on Friday, November 29 at the age of 77 from complications from Alzheimer’s. Herring said in a statement: “Wayne was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s 6 years ago. He took his last breath in the arms of his family. We wish to thank the most caring and amazing place, The Motion Picture and Television Home for taking such great care of him. Wayne touched so many people with his sense of humor and wit. A husband for 43 years, the best dad ever to his two boys, Hank and Grady, and a rancher who loved his cows and was a friend to many.”
