At the top of the thirty-second preview, “Boberett” (Blake Berris) takes great pleasure in disabusing Jada (Elia Cantu) of the notion that the SPD knows who killed Li Shin (Remington Hoffman). There’s SO much more to that story.
Meanwhile, for all his hemming and hawing and chest-thumping, Jack (Matthew Ashford) finally signs off on Chad’s (Billy Flynn) plan to dig up Abigail’s grave. After all, if there’s anybody in town (and trust us, there are plenty) who’d know about presumed-dead Salemites being alive and well, it would be Jack.
Elsewhere, Leo (Greg Rikaart) and Marlena (Deidre Hall) get in some TV watching, and Tate (Leo Howard) and his buddy beg Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) not to out their planned switcharoo.
Then there’s the epic fallout from the bomb that Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) dropped during EJ’s (Dan Feuerriegel) press conference. Not only does Nicole (Arianne Zucker) blast her duplicitous hubby, but she races off to the airport to let Eric (Greg Vaughan) that he’s her tot’s bio daddy.
And finally, it is indeed the end of an era — Bill Hayes will be seen in his final scene as Doug Williams. Fittingly enough, said scenes are opposite his on and offscreen missus Susan Seaforth Hayes AKA Julie Williams.
