General Hospital continues to welcome back veteran actors and the legacy characters that they play. The next to reprise a part? Soap hopper Scott Reeves, who’ll soon be back in the thick of the Port Charles action as Dr. Steven Webber.
Scott Reeves On His Way Back To GH
Per TVInsider, who was the first to break the story, the actor will make his comeback on October 24, some 11 years since his alter-ego was carted off to the hoosegow for murder — and on the day of his wedding to Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) to boot!
Just Like Old Times
Reeves mused to the outlet that, “It was like coming home. I got to work the first day and it was early in the morning. It was just so weird driving up to Prospect [Studios] and going through the guard gate. Literally, from the moment I drove in, I was like, ‘Wasn’t it just a week ago that I left and I was pulling out of here?’ ”
His first reunion was with good buddy, and fellow returnee, Rick Hearst (Ric Lansing) — I said, ‘Dude, this is like old home week!’ — and was quickly followed up with hugs and kisses from play sister Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth Baldwin): “It was so great to see Becky again. That was like reuniting with family because Becky and I are close outside of GH. She really was like my younger sister.”
Reeves also made the acquaintance of new onscreen mommy-not-so-dearest Alley Mills (Heather Webber). “It was great to meet and work with Alley Mills. She is so hilarious and plays that role to the hilt.”
Though fans should delight in Reeves’ return, expectations should be muted — turns out he’s already wrapped what will prove to be a short stint.
Relayed Reeves: “I told Frank [Valentini, executive producer], ‘I forgot how much I loved it.’ I’ve been doing other things, but this was like putting on a really, really comfortable pair of jeans. It was so comforting to get to work with everybody again and fall back into the lives of those characters. I would be totally open to coming back because I think there’s so much potential with Steven. Anytime they want me back, I’m there.”
