For the majority of his tenure, General Hospital‘s Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) has presented as a rather swell feller. Maybe a bit prone to the odd temper tantrum. A wee bit stuck in his ways. All in all, he’s the loving, dependable kind who’ll meet a challenge head-on.
But fans may remember that when Curtis was first introduced, he was a bit of a shady character. He played employer Hayden and mark Nikolas against one another, and he flat-out threatened to kill the former. And while the love of family and a few good women mellowed him, who’s to say that Curtis is above sliding back into old, bad habits — especially now that he’s well aware that he’s about to be screwed over by bestie Drew (Cameron Mathison).
Curtis Ashford Might Not Take Kindly To Betrayal
After all, he certainly looked mightly intrigued by Jordan’s (Tanisha Harper) suggestion that he play both Drew and Michael (Chad Duell). And let’s face it, Jordan hit the nail on the head when she warned that Michael had an agenda all his own.
There’s also the little matter of Curtis being privy to Drew and Willow’s (Katelyn MacMullen) affair, a revelation Michael handed him, and something that a soon-to-be-sworn-in congressman wouldn’t want blabbed to his constituents.
Perhaps some good old-fashioned blackmail is in order…with a side of stealth manipulation where Michael is concerned. That part will be pretty easy. Mikey’s not the brightest bulb in the chandelier. Then, bada bing, bada boom Drew is out, Curtis remains in and Michael (who thought he could pull one over on Drew and use Curtis to do it) will be left with egg on his (admittedly handsome) face.
