General Hospital? More like General Hosp-icide! Per her autopsy results, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) died via an overdose of digitalis, a medication that Elizabeth swears was never prescribed to her patient — and as head of the nursing team, she should know. Of course, that leaves us with the question of who did in Sam and the motive behind the killing.
General Hospital Murder Mystery
Then again, maybe there’s not much mystery to it. The same episode featured Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), the soap’s supposed born-again baddie, gaining access to Lulu’s (Alexa Havins) room under false pretenses and endeavoring to keep his niece’s recovery from her immediate family. What’s that they say about leopards never changing their spots?
And let’s not forget that nearly the minute news broke that Kelly Monaco was out at GH circulated the theory that Cyrus was to overdose her on…wait for it…wait for it…digitalis. Even Monaco’s own mother reposed the X comment that got the speculation rolling.
As for Cyrus’ motivations, with Sam well and truly out of the picture (and part of her liver going a long way in helping Ms Spencer heal), there’s now nothing in the way of Lulu regaining her life as she once knew it, newly single Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and all! And not for nothing, but he did go out of his way to promise that he’d “take care” of Lulu. And uncle’s work is never done….
