Newly acquitted, Ava Jerome (Maura West, General Hospital) had loads of plans. Reunite with her daughter, fight for sole custody of her daughter, tell the majority of Port Charles to stuff it, let Ric (Rick Hearst) *ahem* unwrap the Christmas gift she got him (pssst, the gift was her all along!) — but all that’s now in flux thanks to all her ready cash pulling a disappearing act!
Now she has some new plans: find out what the Hell happened and who the Hell is responsible. And drink martinis. Delicious, delicious martinis. Delicious, delicious martinis that she can’t afford.
Ava Jerome Is In For A World Of Hurt
On the face of it, Sonny (Maurice Benard) seems the most likely culprit. If Ava doesn’t have any money, how can she possibly take him to court? No judge is going to hand a child to the parent with the least to offer.
But when he was bemoaning the inevitable battle to Natalia (Eva LaRue) he didn’t much seem like a man who had an ace up his sleeve. And Sonny is someone who loves to boast.
But if Sonny isn’t to blame, who is? Our next bet: Ric Lansing! Let’s not forget that the rakish rogue once conspired to defraud Nina (Cynthia Watros) of her inheritance.
If not Ric, what about dear ex-hubby Nikolas (Adam Huss)? Sure, they appeared to part on rather amicable terms, but appearances can be deceiving. And sure, he’s banged on in prison out of state, but he could have a proxy doing his dirty work.
And if not Nikolas, how about Esme? Show us one villain who’s ever plunged into the drink that didn’t later climb out, shake themselves dry, and go on to ruin yet more lives. Go on, we dare you!
And if not any of those characters, how about Kristina (Kate Mansi)? It’s not like money grows on trees, and she’s gonna need LOTS of it for those renovations to Charlie’s.
