Tracy (Jane Elliot) is never more enraptured than when she’s verbally jousting with a worthy opponent. Luke Spencer fit the bill for a long spell, but then he went and died. Allegedly. The jury’s still out on that one.
Either way, General Hospital‘s grand dame could really use some daily interplay — and some nightly lovin’ — and we couldn’t have been the only ones to have seen the sparks flying between her and Martin Grey in today’s episode (December 19, 2024).
Martin Grey and Tracy K-I-S-S-I-NG?!
In a classic case of the lady doth protest too much, Tracy’s sharp tongue attempted to wound the legal eagle with bitting putdowns like “you’re nothing but a vulture feeding off of people’s broken relationships and misery,” but any GH fan can tell you that men like that are kind of Ms Q’s jam.
Let’s see, there was Mitch Blake, Larry Ashton, Scotty Baldwin, and Harlan Barrett. Those were all men who could be described as vultures feeding off of etc., etc., etc. Luke wasn’t much better.
What’s more, Martin possesses an innate ability that Tracy finds irresistible. He can volley the venom right back at her. Heck, she even got a clear kick out of his little “SIKE!” gag.
And unlike, say, a Gregory Chase, Martin would probably rather take Tracy as she is — haughty and hostile — rather than try to tame her, or, at the very least, shave down the rougher edges. No, as exasperated as he gets at times around the fillies it’s clear counsel prefers one with a whole lotta giddy-up.
Oh, and then there’s the Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) of it all. She and Tracy have a (bad?) habit of sniffing after the same men as Scotty and Harlan can attest. Lucy’s done had Martin, and screwed up the romance royally, so, by rights (and in keeping with good soapy plots), it’s Tracy’s turn at bat.
