A few weeks ago there was an interaction between Lucas Jones and Brad Cooper on General Hospital that gave us a moment of pause…and we haven’t stopped thinking about it. Was this moment foreshadowing a cancer scare for the good doctor?
Paging Dr. Lucas Jones
Do you remember the last time Lucas (Van Hansis) and Brad (Parry Shen) talked? They were in a hospital room having it out a bit and Brad noticed a mole on Lucas that seemed to have changed a bit in appearance. Brad was so concerned he even warned his ex to have it looked at because he was worried.

While Lucas seemed to brush it off, we have to wonder if he should go see a dermatologist and get that mole looked at. And, we wonder if getting it looked at will lead to a devastating diagnosis. Could it be? Does Lucas have skin cancer?
It would be outwardly cruel of the show to take Lucas off the canvas so close after the death of his sister. Hasn’t this family been through enough? Everyone will reel from Sam’s loss for months and we can’t imagine Lucas trying to cope with her death while staring his own in the face.
A General Hospital Relationship Reset?
The only positive we can see coming from a storyline like this is it could pave the way for Brad to get back into Lucas’s good graces. Brad still very much loves his ex and wants another chance. If Lucas gets sick there is no way Brad will stay away. He’ll nurse his beloved back to health…and back to marriage.
