There’s no denying that Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Willow’s (Katelyn MacMullen) affair has got General Hospital fans talking — the majority of them ruing the plot point. But Mathison thinks all that will change…in time.

“I think it’s like a super couple in the making,” the actor relayed to Soap Hub’s Bryan Beckley. “I know everybody’s going to think I’m nuts, but just wait. You guys are going to love Willow and Drew…eventually”
And as for the pair’s *ahem* unsavory origins, Mathison offered: “Think about how Luke and Laura started…it was pretty messy to begin with and now they’re the ultimate supercouple, so you never know.”

* The Bay‘s tribute episode to the late Jacklyn Zeman (Sofia Madison) — best known for her decades-spanning run on General Hospital is scheduled to air on Friday, Dec. 27 on PopStar! TV. Deadline was the first to report.
As previously documented, the special will feature guest stars Dee Wallace, Tamara Braun, and Leigh McCloskey, who appeared opposite Zeman on GH as her alter-ego’s older sister, daughter, and love interest, respectively.
