With Cyrus (Jeff Kober) dead and (presumably) about to be buried and Chase (Josh Swickard) clued in on Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) teenage pregnancy, General Hospital‘s top scribes Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten are teasing what fans can expect in the days, weeks, and months to follow.
General Hospital’s Head Writers Tease What’s To Come
“Cyrus’s death serves as a critical turning point in several lives — primarily Josslyn’s,” explained the dynamic duo to Soap Opera Digest.
“She’s proved able to track down Dex’s killer and just as importantly, to save her own life when Cyrus threatened her. But she didn’t do it entirely alone. Brennan has been in the background all along, providing a nudge here and a morsel of information there. We’ll soon learn why. Brennan’s presence in Port Charles and his proximity to Carly is no accident. His feelings for Carly are accidental, though — and those feelings will come into direct conflict with his intentions for Josslyn.
“The Spencer women will find themselves plunged into a world totally alien to them — Brennan’s world. But General Hospital fans know that other characters on the canvas are well-acquainted with Brennan’s business. A number of Port Charles residents will be pulled into this developing story as loyalties, friendships, and families will be called into question, present loves tested, new loves emerge, and many lives threatened… Jason among them!”
And while Brook Lynn has made a clean breast of things with her husband, there’s still yet more drama to be mined — not the least of which is the inevitable revelation that her and Dante’s (Dominic Zamprogna) spawn is a recent addition to the Quartermaine household.
Says Korte and Van Etten: “As it stands, this situation might be endured. But we haven’t accounted for Lulu. She’s got her parents’ nose for mystery, and won’t stand for injustice. If she learns Dante has a kid, and that kid’s existence was kept from him, Lulu would stop at nothing to bring it to light… Lois and Brook Lynn be damned.
“The truth about Gio’s heritage would rock the Quartermaines, the Corinthoses, the Cerullos, the Falconeris, and Gio himself… but would anyone thank Lulu for it?” We’re going to go with no!
