Laura Wright (Carly Spencer, General Hospital), an actress who’s frequently forced to confirm or deny the gossip de jour, recently cleared up some confusion regarding her status in the ABC sudser, as well as whether or not she and long-time partner Wes Ramsey were heading to the chapel…of love!

On Tuesday, viewers saw Wright’s alter-ego, Carly Spencer, usher Chad Duell’s Michael Q offscreen, to far-flung Germany, where he and his third-degree burns will be treated.
Of course, that got people wondering if Wright was headed off canvas for the long haul — and many were curious whether a lengthy break had anything to do with those mummers of matrimony.
One fan, Linda E. Johnson, reached out to Wright on X and asked: “Is it true you’re getting married and leaving the show for a while? If so, you will come back, won’t you?”
The succinct response? “Nope, not true at all.” And there you have it folks. An answer straight from the source!
