Lucky has been making the rounds on General Hospital, which makes reuniting with old friends and former colleagues a breeze for his portrayer, Jonathan Jackson.
Jonathan Jackson On GH Reunions
Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) was one of the first he shared the screen with, but that really didn’t count as much of a reunion. “Steve and I are pretty close friends, so we’ve been in touch a lot over the years,” relayed Jackson to Soap Opera Digest. “But it was really fun to get to work with him again and to act with him again. It’s great to have that kind of history and rapport with someone.”
Next up was a cross with former wife Elizabeth — in the flesh this time, as opposed to the fantasy Lucky conjured up while imprisoned in Africa — and then one with Sonny (Maurice Benard), his dad’s old buddy.
Reported Jackson: “Those scenes were really fun. I mean, Maurice is one of those people that, with him and I, it always feels like no time has passed.”
And as for his long-coming reunion with play mother Genie Francis (Laura Spencer Collins: “Getting to work with Genie again has been absolutely amazing. Just seeing her again was wonderful. It was such a joy. The idea and the thought of getting to work with Genie again was a huge part of the inspiration and the drive to come back to the show…Genie is just an amazing person and an incredible artist. It really has been such a joy working with her. I’m very grateful.”
