Real-life marrieds Kassie and James DePaiva, best known for playing Blair Cramer and Max Holden, respectively, on One Life to Live, will be the latest special guests on Alan Locher’s podcast The Locher Room.
Kassie And James DePaiva Talk Real and Reel
Per the podcast’s official YouTube channel, the dynamic duo will be taking a look back at their storied careers, recalling their first meeting (spoilers alert: she wasn’t exactly that into him), and reflecting on how their reel-life romance turned into the real deal.
By the time Kentucky-born Kassie joined the ABC sudser in 1993 (controversially assuming the part of Blair which had previously been played by Asian-American actress Mia Korf), James had clocked in six years as bad-boy (with a gold platted heart) Max Holden.
After extricating themselves from their then-current spouses, Kassie and James wed on May 31, 1996. Though James would vacate the role of Max in 2003 and ultimately not appear again following a brief reprisal in 2007, Kassie remained at OLTL until its network swan song in 2012. Subsequently, she appeared in The Online Network’s short-lived revival and brought the character of Blair to General Hospital in both 2012 and 2023.
Fans of Kassie also loved her as the baddie Eve Donovan of Days of our Lives. Her reign(s) of terror and triumph kept viewers on their toes on and off starting in 2014 with her most recent just last year.
