Though he’s developed a bit of a reputation for claiming that his days at General Hospital are over, only to then grace the screen soon after, it does appear that Kin Shriner (Scotty Baldwin) has well and truly capped his run.
Kin Shriner Talks General Hospital Future — Or Lack Thereof
Earlier this month, the actor took to X with a screenshot of a magazine page depicting him and special guest star Elizabeth Taylor making Luke and Laura’s wedding day a misery.
He captioned the post: “…Me and Elizabeth Taylor were the original wedding crashes, I am ok with that !!!”
No plans

One fan wondered in the comments section when Shriner might return to the ABC sudser, prompting him to respond: “No plans.” He went on to be a bit more succinct with another inquiring viewer, writing merely, “No.”
On a later post, a GH devotee suggested: “You should be the new DA, since Robert’s gone. They can not send you out for donuts and that’s your exit!” To that Shriner shrugged: “Well it looks that way I am just an actor but thanks.”
Shriner made his debut as “Scotty” on August 2, 1977, succeeding a string of younger actors in the role. He’s remained (off and on) ever since. The last episode to feature him aired in September. Per the end credits, Shriner is still counted among the some two dozen recurring cast members.
