Rena Sofer (Lois Cerullo) is busy as she’s ever been — mired in the thick of Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) baby drama on General Hospital, whooping it up with fellow ABC soapers Walt Willey and Tuc Watkins in the Knives Out-esque Death on the Brandywine, and hitting the open road with GH alum (and good girlfriend) Vanessa Marcil (ex-Brenda Barrett) bound for several cities on a charitable tour — but the beloved actress is looking forward to a quieter, less hurried existence.
Rena Sofer’s Looking Forward To ‘Semi-Retirement”
In an interview with Woman’s World, Sofer revealed that she and her husband Sanford Brookstaver — the producer/director she wed, divorced, and remarried (!) — are planning to part with their L.A. digs and forge a new destiny on the East Coast.
“We kinda want to semi-retire, so my bucket list is building a home that we don’t have to ever leave if we don’t want to. There will be a big studio downstairs for my woodworking and ceramics, and a dog room so we’re able to foster and keep our animals and give them space outside.”
But that’s not to say Sofer wouldn’t be up for flying visits to GH or even The Bold and the Beautiful where her Quinn Fuller sinned and sexed for nearly a decade. “I would be open to anything and everything.”
As for the juicy goings-on at GH, Sofer warns: “It’s going to come to a head… in horrible, horrible ways. Lois did what she thought was best for everyone concerned, but she’s got a lot of explaining to do!”
