Though his alter-ego’s love life has been stagnating for some time, the actor won’t be wanting in the wake of his popping the question to girlfriend Michelle Lundstrum!
General Hospital’s Steve Burton Is Engaged
Burton shared snaps of the momentous occasion on Instagram. He captioned the carousel: “Engaged 1/3/25. [heart emoji; ring emoji; infinity emoji] Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Congratulatory comments from Burton’s fans and industry family came pouring in. Laura Wright (Carly Spencer) wrote: “Wooooo hoooooo. Congratulations [heart emoji],” while Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) offered: “Oh Steve!!!! Congratulations! I wish you both all the happiness in the future, you are a wonderful couple! Congratulations Michelle! [flock of heart emoji].”
Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers, The Young and the Restless; ex-Nina Reeves, GH) offered: “Beautiful Steve! Congratulations [heart emoji],” while Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli) exclaimed, “AMAZING.”
Burton first confirmed his romance with Lundstrom to Daily Drama back in May 2024, and the couple soon after made their debut on the 51st Annual Daytime Emmys’ red carpet.
This will be Burton’s second marriage. He and his ex-wife, Sheree Gustin, share three children: Makena, Jack, and Brooklyn.
