Those scenes between Anna (Finola Hughes) and Jack (Chris McKenna) from Monday’s episode of General Hospital originally ended quite differently from what fans saw — much to the latter performer’s disappointment.

What made it to screens was Anna thanking Jack for warning her about grudge-bearing ADA Turner (Nazneen Contractor) but wondering why he bothered in the first place. “Because I don’t want to deal with another police commissioner,” came the matter-of-fact reply. “I mean, you’re a pain in the ass, but you’re a pain I’m familiar with.” Then came a quick cut to a bemused Jason (Steve Burton) watching Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and Carly (Laura Wright) debate Jack’s good points (or lack thereof).
But there was more to the exchange between Anna and Jack as detailed by McKenna on social media:
Of course, there’s no official word on why the bonus dialogue was edited out, but the actor did that he’d been repeatedly “directed…to be meaner…My guess is, we were coming off too flirty.”
