Alright, darlings, settle in with your tea, because General Hospital is serving up a heaping helping of intrigue this week! Let’s dive in, shall we?
Captured, Cut Loose, and Caught!
Loyal viewers will recall Joss and Vaughn’s ill-fated “honeymoon” at The Five Poppies. Well, the situation has gone from bad to worse. Our dynamic duo remains imprisoned, with the menacing Pascal breathing down their necks. He’s desperate to know who else is privy to their little secret operation. Joss, ever quick-witted, tries to downplay their importance, claiming they are merely “the bottom of the barrel.”
Meanwhile, the ever-resourceful Britt Westbourne is lurking, witnessing everything unfold. Vaughn, bless his heart, insists they only report to Brennan, completely unaware of the shadowy network that Brennan is involved in. And Pascal’s threat to eliminate them both if the given combination to unlock a black box doesn’t work sends shivers down our spines.
Just when we thought things couldn’t get any more complicated, Britt makes a daring reappearance, handing Joss something very useful. Manicure scissors to the rescue! I love when our gals have to think on their feet. Britt is quickly caught. Pascal, ever suspicious, confronts her, but Britt reminds him that they are all supposed to be keeping a low profile. She asks, with a touch of sarcasm, if “he” knows Pascal is kidnapping honeymooners. Before walking away, she warns him that “he” will be returning!
Will Jason Hear Britt’s Plea?
Jason, bless his heart, is trying to make his way back to Port Charles, delayed in Paris. A sweet phone call to Danny reminds us of the devotion to his family and friends. As he reflects on his recent conversations with Britt at The Five Poppies, you just know his gut is telling him something is terribly wrong. Back at the resort, Britt desperately tries to contact Jason on a burner phone, but a weak signal and a boarding plane stand in her way. It’s a race against time, folks!
Carly and Jack’s Complicated Connection
Carly, as always, is grappling with matters of the heart. This time, it’s her budding romance with Jack. She confesses to him that she fears she’s making another mistake. She once loved Drew, but he wasn’t the man she thought he was, and she’s desperate not to repeat that pattern. Jack, refreshingly honest, can’t promise a pain-free future, but his sincere desire to make things work with Carly is truly touching. But is he hiding something from her? That’s what Colette seems to think, as she storms out after learning that Carly has once again called on Jack.
The Case of the Missing Willow
Over at General Hospital, the halls are buzzing with concern over Willow. Lucas is worried about her erratic behavior, while Liz fears she walked out on her shift. Little do they know, Willow’s night is about to take a devastating turn. Meanwhile, Anna and Chase are piecing together the puzzle of the judge’s murder, with Drew as a prime suspect. Oh, the tangled webs we weave!
Drew Down! Who Pulled the Trigger?
The big question on everyone’s minds, of course, is who shot Drew? We see a replay of the shocking moment, reminding us of the gravity of the situation. Back at Drew’s house, Kai and Trina find him bleeding on the floor! They flee in terror, with Kai accidentally leaving his bat at the scene of the crime.
Back at the Q mansion, Wiley tells Michael that he was unable to reach his father with his special phone. Michael promises that he will always be there for his kids, which just breaks our hearts, as the little boy notes that his mother made the same promise before disappearing from his life. Later, Brook Lynn wonders if it is even in Wiley’s best interest to keep Willow from him. Michael says that Willow has changed, and she’s even gone back to Drew, so he must protect his children.
At the hospital, a drenched Willow returns from her “walk,” claiming she needed to clear her head. Before Lucas can discover if she is alright, a call comes in with news that she has been dreading: Drew has been shot. She faints into Chase’s arms.
A twist of fate leads Tracy to stumble upon Drew, wounded and alone. She calls 911, insisting her nephew will not die on her. We all know Tracy has a special soft spot for her family, but what was she doing at Drew’s?
Meanwhile, Portia and Isaiah are enjoying a passionate night together when she receives a call from General Hospital: a VIP is coming to the hospital, and she is needed. Trina and Kai return to her place, and Trina has a panic attack when she realizes they might have just provided all the evidence needed to arrest her mother, Portia. This is when Kai reveals that he had recovered the documents himself!
The Truth Comes Out?
Dante confirms that Scout is safe at a Lila’s Kids’ sleepover as he and Anna begin investigating. Tracy admits that Drew had filed restraining orders against everyone in Scout’s family. Dante finds that a back door was left open, and a safe was opened, but not emptied. All of this before finding Kai’s bat, of course. Oh, Kai!
Back at her place, Trina realizes that her parents are safe, but that nobody can know that she and Kai were there.
At the hospital, Chase informs Willow that Drew has been shot, and both Lucas and Liz are doing all that they can. In the OR, Liz finds two bullets in Drew’s back and asks Lucas to help her prepare for surgery. Portia arrives, and Liz confirms that Drew is in critical condition.
Loose Ends and Lingering Questions
Jack informs Carly of the tragic news about Drew. At the Qs, Brook Lynn and Michael argue over Willow and what is best for his children. At Drew’s house, Anna asks Tracy about what was out of place, and Dante takes Kai’s bat to be photographed. As Kai and Trina embrace at her place, he shares that Drew’s safe was open and that he recovered the documents that were in it. Kai feels guilty that they left Drew, but Trina knows that they cannot tell anyone about what happened.
As Liz and Portia discuss Drew’s status, Willow asks Lucas about his condition. Lucas promises to do everything that he can for him before speaking with Portia and Liz. He confirms that another doctor is arriving to help him, but Portia decides that she will scrub in to the operation, too.
Back at Drew’s, Tracy confirms that she touched nothing out of place, though Dante will be photographing the baseball bat. And Anna wonders just who would be at the top of the list of people who want Drew dead.
A Breakout and a Betrayal
The guard at the Five Poppies comes to check in on Joss and Vaughn, but our duo have cut themselves loose and are ready to fight. At the Paris airport, Britt is finally able to get through to Jason but is cut off by poor reception. Pascal then catches Britt and is tired of trying to please “him”.
Tomorrow’s Teaser:
- Drew is in critical condition. Will he pull through?
- Will Jason heed Britt’s desperate call?
- And who did pull the trigger on Drew?
The drama continues, ladies, and we wouldn’t have it any other way! Stay tuned for more Port Charles updates!
