Life As A Papa
At the top of the (half) hour, after the cohosts passed much comment on Duell’s video backgrounds (or was it foregrounds?), the guest opened up about new fatherhood (you may recall that he and lady love Luana Lucci welcomed baby boy Dawson on August 30, 2023).
Much to Duell and Lucci’s relief (and probably to the consternation of many sleep deprived parents watching), Dawson is a champion sleeper, regularly snoozing a solid 12 hours!
But like every parent before him, Duell admits that it’s tough to strike the perfect balance between parenthood, career, carving out time for his significant other, and personal pursuits. Bradford Anderson’s sage advice? Live in the moment and appreciate what’s coming up.
Chilly Reception
In response to inquiry as to what his alter-ego has been up to, and life at the GH studio in general, Duell could but quip that there’s been some cold air blowing through since Steve Burton made his return as Jason — figuratively (Jason has been referred to on more than one occasion as Stone Cold) and literally given the temperature in the studio. Might hot natured Burton have something to do with that? Maybe!
Heavy Load
When it comes to heavy, emotional story, of which Duell has had his share, the actor confesses that he isn’t much of a fan. To wring the required sentiment, he finds it necessary to go to places he’s not entirely comfortable.
Wrap Up
As the interview came to a close, Duell and the cohosts debated how he could best put his John Ritter-esque talents to actual use, and time was spared for Duell to plug his and Lucci’s joint venture.
