Near the top of the interview, Wright mused about her alter-ego’s inevitable reaction to Drew (Cameron Mathison)/Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) dalliance: “Well, it’s Carly how do you think? She’d be like ‘Get out! You get to D.C.! GO!’ ”
And while Steve isn’t much sold on Jason keeping schtum around “his person,” Wright understands it “structurally for the show. The second Carly finds out, given her personality, I’m assuming scorched earth. She’ll light that freakin’ house on fire. And that’s ‘Carly Energy.’ ”
As for Sasha’s (so far) secret pregnancy: “Poor Sasha she has no idea what’s coming for her when Carly finds out. She’s going to be my new best friend.”
And on the subject of Carly and Brennan’s (Charles Mesure)…um…situationship: “[So far, there has been] no kiss, no date, no…We have not kissed. We have a bit of a disagreement coming up. We bump heads. [But not bodies.] Not yet.
“I think for Carly that fact [Jason] is telling her to stay away from him…whenever someone tells you not to do something you want to do it…I think she’s intrigued. I don’t necessarily think she’s thinking anything romantic or long-term. And I think the dangerous part of him is fun for her. And it seems like every time there’s an issue he can solve it…It hasn’t gotten to that level of really allowing him into her heart or her psyche of desire. I think, right now, there’s just a lot going on.”
Picking up where his (favorite?) guest trailed off, Steve offered: “There is a lot going on the show right now, for sure. And a lot more that’s going to be revealed.” Talk about a tease!
